Course Description:

Students will learn essential vocabulary to develop reading and speech in Spanish. From numbers to greetings, and through conversation and assignments/class work, students improve their fluency and comprehension that can be used in profesional settings to everyday dialouge. Participation is a must in classes. Students should come ready to speak and to do class work to have growth in their Spanish speaking skills.

Targeted Students: 

Learning a new language can be a challenge. Students will be given assignments depending on their growth through the lesson. They can move up in the lesson course depending on said growth. They will be given more time to get it down if needed. Quizzes and tests will help see if there is retention in the students.

1 spiral notebook (Specific for Spanish class)

Writing materials

Headphones (not required but helpful in the case of a noisy environment)

What Students Learn:

This course teaches students:

  • Spanish alphabet

  • Numbers

  • Telling time

  • Greetings

  • Conversation

  • Pronunciations 

  • And more

Lectures:

Student will practice their Spanish skills through speaking with the instructor and with one fellow students in class to help with Spanish fluency. Reading, pronunciation, assignments, and writing will also be part of lessons. Students' participation is paramount, students will have to do plenty of speaking. Note taking will be strongly advised so they can learn and practice with parents. There will be learning through games as well in digital form, where students can also work on the lesson.

Course Assessment Measures:

Students will be graded through participation in class as well as class assignments and homework. The growth can change with each student depending on the effort they put ino the lessons.

Course Description:

Develop skills in reading, writing, and understanding hundreds of Chinese characters, spelling sounds, Chinese idioms, and carrying out a conversation in Mandarin.

Course Description:

Gain mastery of all letters. Strengthen understanding of letters and their sounds, and converse with the help of stories, poems, songs, etc. Become familiar with words and tiny stories stories without maatras.

  • To write all the vowel signs (baarah khadi)

  • Hindi numbers from 1 - 50

  • Colors

  • To read words and small passages

  • General conversation

  • Proficiency of vocabulary words

Hindi Intermediate

Course Description:

Review knowledge of Hindi vocabulary and create a stonger vocabulary. Learn to read and write common Hindi words, and learn basic grammar, including an introduction to tenses. Students complete small sentences, small passages, and write questions and their corresponding answers. Aditionally, students will be able to read, comprehend, and learn new words, answering questions in complete sentences based on the reading.

What Students Learn: 

This course teaches students:

  • To know all the Hindi numbers from 1 - 100

  • To learn the meanings and uses of nouns/pronouns that are in everyday life

  • Constant combinations

  • Gender and number (singularity/plurality) of words

  • Common verbs, helping verbs, adjectives
